KRG Bravo Chassis

Anyone have any experience with the Bravo? Will it increase accuracy over a a Rem factory stock? Every 1/8" helps. I shoot from a bench and load 1 at a time. Who makes a filler for the mag well? Thanks for any help from fellow shooters.

Great stock, I use a 3 round AICS mag to block the hole and load singularly one at a time.
I also filled every void hole I could find with No12 lead shot.
I really like them

I have three guns with the KRG Bravo chassis, a 224 Val AI, a 6.5 Dasher and a 25X improved. All three are bench guns and will shoot well under 1/2 MOA at 200 yards as well as ring steel at 1000 and beyond. I can't relate to factory stocks as these are custom made rifles featuring Bartlein barrels and Bighorn Origin actions but I am very happy with the Bravo. I also made custom solid brass butt spacers to help balance the 28" heavy Palma barrels. For single shot loading I use a .308 Original Bob Sled (AI). I also fashioned 3" wide outrigger bag riders and fastened them to the fore end. These slide easily in the front rest while the rear has the KRG bag rider and works well in the Protector rear bag. Get the Bravo, you won't be sorry.

Yes.
Yes.
Bob Sled.

I just picked up a KRG Bravo for a Howa short action. It’s very nice for the money. Good and rigid chassis and comfortable polymer clothing. The polymer doesn’t have a bunch of mold lines like some other polymer stocks so they definitely went the extra mile to ensure the polymer covering didn’t look too cheap. I don’t have any complaints with the KRG Bravo so far and don’t expect to in the future.

If you like the covered chassis style stocks for a more traditional look and more comfortable feel, also check out “WOOX” stocks. I have the ‘Exactus’ model on a 300 NMI I built on a BAT HR action. WOOX incorporates wood into their chassis stocks and it looks really good. The machining quality is top notch and they are very comfortable. And the best part is they include a Hawkins M5 dbm with the purchase of their stocks. No need to purchase a dbm separately.

I bought a WOOX for my CZ457 and the barrel channel was not straight to the action. It wasn't even close. It wasn't the Exactus. It was a cool stock, otherwise.

I sent it back and ordered a KRG Bravo. I am impressed with it. I may order one for a Tikka as well.

That’s unfortunate and sorry to hear that. I’ve only had the one WOOX stock so I can’t speak much on how good their QC is but the Exactus I have is great. Perfect fit for my BAT action. Definitely a step above the KRG. KRG is a great stock for the money but there’s no plastic on the WOOX.

Like both of the stocks a lot tho. Just figured I’d throw another option out there for a traditional looking chassis style.

I may have to check out another one. I really like the look of the WOOX. Mine was the Wild Man model.

Yeah not sure on the Wild Man. The Exactus has an aluminum frame that runs all the way down the forearm and the wood just bolts onto it. Channel is as straight as anything.

I modified my Exactus a bit. Custom fitted a smooth aluminum bag riding rail cover over the rear picatinny then drilled and tapped the rail for a center mount sling stud. The wood was the dark pepper laminate wood but kinda wished I’d have went with the walnut. Finally decided I didn’t like the pepper color much so I stained it all black. Still need to bed it to the receiver. Planning on doing that this week.

I was wrong about the Woox being for my CZ457. It was for a Tikka. I ended up buying a Manners with a mini chassis for the Tikka. Unrelated to that adventure, I did buy a Bravo for my CZ457.

That’s funny and ironic because the only crooked aftermarket stock I’ve ever had was a Manners! The butt was kicked to the side so hard at the wrist you could use it as a hockey stick! Lol! Not that bad actually but it was very easily noticeable with the naked eye and you could definitely feel it when lined up on the rifle. Manners wouldn’t take it back and I was stuck with it. So now Manners is stuck with never getting my business again ;)

That is funny. I do think I am going to order another WOOX. I am going to call them first, though. I got this one from Optics Planet and didn't want to deal with them trying to get it fixed, so I just sent it back to them.

By chance have a pic of your front bag rider. I have an idea or two myself, not sure what material to use though.

Imho about the best money you can spend on a budget stock. I have five of them now, that see various uses. I have filled the butt stock and grip on two of them with #9 shot.

Are there hollow areas or did you drill the grip and butt stock out. And, how do you keep the shot in place, and finally, did it provide the improvement you expected?

There are hollow areas. I used some thin foam to hold the shot in place.
It did what I wanted, let me see my impacts.
