7 saum brass availability

My experience says to stay away from Remington brass in 7-SAUM because primer pockets are too soft and loosen after one or two firings. This also applies to factory loaded brass; bad primer pockets are common after only one firing.
My preference with experience has been good with Norma brass. I generally use .300 RSAUM Norma brass sized to 7 mm as the 7 mm brass is hard to find. Both Norma or Nosler give excellent results for this cartridge.

My experience was the opposite with Remington brass. I ran 2 7SAUM rifles. A long action and a short. It took some sorting and a bit of prep but the Remington brass lasted way longer than either Norma or Nosler. Same reports from fellow shooters. I do agree that the Norma 300 saum brass necked down will produce excellent results.

Prefer ADG brass but never has a problem with Remington 7mm SAUM brass..
Lasted a lot longer than the softer Norma brass..
I have NORMA & REMINGTON brass I won't be using...

It’s basically a dead end, the most glaring between-the-cracks oversight and casualty I’ve seen in Fclass. 7 Saum brass has been a chronic problem periodically since I started using it 2017, in Fclass, and maybe before then, and that was when Norma made large quantities of it.

Now, the 7 saum brass shortage is so bleak with Norma discontinuing it, despite how good the round is for competition, that I’m not counting on ever being able to purchase it again. I’ll buy it on-site if ever spotted but it’s not in my long term barrel plans because builds for unavailable supplies lead to nothing but frustration.

That didn't last long.
I contacted ADG and they did a run of 7 saum brass and said it was only
going to a few vendors.
I wish they would run a big batch or someone else like Alpha or Peterson
would make it. This waiting for a small run every 6 months is BS
As @davidjoe said, might have to drop any idea of building a 7 or 300 saum.
