.22lr Terry Leonard project for Butch Lambert

Butch managed to get his hands on a Terry Leonard Stock and wanted to put his Anschutz Super-Match in it so he asked me to inlet and bed it. The original inlet was a bit big but it didn’t matter since the stock was going to be painted so those spots were filled with epoxy. An adjustable weight system was installed in the butt as well. Now it’s on it’s way back to Butch then off to Kenny Youngblood for Paint. Thanks for letting me be a small part of the project.

I'm always impressed with your bedding jobs. They are the absolute best I have ever seen. I do my own bedding work and they turn out OK, but certainly not as exquisitely perfect as yours!

Yes Sir, that is the plan. We have a few at our club that have very very nice rifles. I may have mentioned that I got the barreled action from Jon Hammonds the WVU rifle coach. He shot it in the 2008 Beijing Olympics for the UK team. The receiver and barrel were hand selected for him at the Anschutz factory after testing at their factory test facility. Jon put it away after that because of schooling and then coach of the WVU rifle team.
I did buy a KK300 Walther from him early on and that is what I'm shooting now. The new rifle will have to go a long way to out shoot the Walther. I promised it to a good friend and he said I would never win again.

That is some amazing bedding work! The only way my bedding looks like that is by using Photoshop after taking the pictures.

The biggest challenge with this was the trigger group…. It’s huge and is all but barely sticking out of the bottom!! Lol

WOW, I never knew Kenny Youngblood painted rifle stocks. Kenny did a sketch for Ken and Judy Black ( KB Racing) of my wife and I at the Las Vegas Strip on our 39th. anniversary. Love to see the finished rifle Butch, and I know Ken would too.

That inlet isnt bad. Id finish that wood and keep the original character of the leonard stock. Nobody will look that close anyway
