Haven’t seen a running thread, sorry if I’m doubling up
What was the price ?I went from not seeing a primer for 18 months to my local store having a couple hundred thousand virtually overnight.
I’ve bought 8 pound jugs of 4350, H1000 and N135 this month, and just yesterday passed a fully stocked selection of Alliant at Natchez.
The crisis is nearing its end, in my opinion.
That’s my personal limit on stuff I need. 90 out the door. Hopefully we’ll be seeing $50 - $60 before too long. Some LGS are being reasonable at $3 - 5 Per sleeve, but limiting you to a few sleeves. What was the price ?

Wonder what the story is behind that... don’t know anything about shotgun loading, but I’ve been seeing some of that too. Here in central Texas you can pretty easily find 9mm , .380 , .223/5.56 and .308 but you will still pay for them for sure but .22lr I can get fairly cheap so I have switched to .22... Primers , powder etc are still very hard to find.... What's started to climb in price very fast and very high is shotgun stuff.... Factory loads or reloading supplies have skyrocketed in the last 3 weeks....
Couple questions for the group:
3: Can a learned member please educate me how to interpret the lot #, date codes on IMR/Hodgdon powder cans? I've been labeling the bottle when purchased but I have a few that I did not label up receipt...
thank you!!!
I have seen some of that. Think they’re just rushing stuff out..Couple questions for the group:
When you've got the powder home (local GS or Mail-order) and inspecting in before putting it away - have any of you noticed the following -
1: that the white foam safety seal under the cap that is normally stuck to the top of the 1lb jar either loose or in the extreme absent?
thank you!!!
Sometimes the seals are not stuck to the top of the jug but it's normally there.... I have never got one were it was missing.... I have even seen the kids basically falling off right out of the shipping box , I do recommend never picking up a jug of powder by the lid unless you checked it... I got lucky and had one pop off while picking it up but I cought it...Thank goodness the seal was on that one or it would have been on the floor.... There should be 7000 grains of powder in a 1lb jug....Couple questions for the group:

2: has anyone noticed or maybe it's just perceived that the weight just seems off (light) on the 1lb containers? Has anyone weighed out a 'new' 1 pounder to confirm weigh?
