Looking into a NRL22/PRS 22 build. After years of back and forth with factory actions in center fire, I've gone the custom action route and I will never look back. I feel like 22LR will go the same way. Plus I have extra 700SA stocks and Chassis for a 22lr with a 700 foot print.... Unless someone can convince me otherwise.

How about starting with something like a bergara if youre having doubts?
Both are excellent rifles. But it's worth keeping in mind that neither will make inconsistent and inexpensive ammo shoot like good ammo. No rifle can outshoot the ammo it's given.
If you're prepared to use the most suitable ammos available (not by brand but by lot), you can approach the potential of either the Vudoo or RimX.
If you're on a strict ammo budget, neither will be able to consistently shine.

The Turbo actions are all single shot. I would think that the OP was more interested in a repeater type action.

I don't shoot NRL or PRS, but I do shoot long range steel matches. I have a Bergara B14R in factory stock, with just a Trigger Tech Diamond trigger. and Tikka T1X , with a trigger spring change, in a KRG Bravo. I have beaten Vudoo's and RimX with both guns.
I run a Long Range 22LR match. In 2021, my first match, a Vudoo win in a shoot off with a CZ with a custom barrel. 2nd match. I won with my Bergara over Vudoo's and RimX. 3th match CZ's took top 3 places over Vudoo's and RimX.
Long Range 22lr is not as much about the gun, as it is ammo and shooter reading the wind.
I have 2 custom action centerfire long range bench guns, I know what you are saying about custom actions.
I can't justify the cost of a Vudoo, being that I can run with them for now. If the money is not a problem, Go for the Vudoo.

The Rim-X has some assets over the Vudoo but mainly the ability to do barrel swaps yourself. There are, to my understanding, some providers who sell prefit Rim-X barrels. I have always felt (maybe unjustly) that the adjustment feature on the Rim-X mags was there out of necessity. Then again I have no experience.
I bought a clean used Vudoo a couple years ago. It didn't eject as I thought it should so I contacted Vudoo about suggestions for a fix. They, without hesitation, told me they knew that my rifle was early and they had done several upgrades that included new ejector design. Without even waiting for any question from me they said they would send me a shipping label and make all the necessary upgrades at NO CHARGE. I had it back ten days after they received it and it has functioned perfectly ever since. No way I would look at the Rim-X. That is how satisfied I am with it. I purchased a second new direct from Vudoo later and sold it to a friend getting into the game. In the process now of obtaining a Vudoo GII 360 model.
The only other I would consider is Anshutz. They have gotten in the game with some very good tactical style stocks and their accuracy level has Neve been in question.
I shot 8 matches last year with my vudoo, my buddy with his rimx and my other buddy with his cz. All rifles preformed extremely well. All rifles put up amazing groups. The cz shooter is the better shooter between the 3 of us and did better then myself and my buddy on a couple occasions. Overall I do believe it is more about the shooter, and his abilities but a nice gun doesn’t hurt lol.

Anschutz has struggled with ejection issues on both the 54 and 64 actions for many years and the struggles and comments from shooters are well documented in the Anschutz forum on Rimfirecentral.
Personally, I have never witnessed nor experienced the said ejection issue while shooing my 1813 for almost (gasp) 35 years or know any smallbore competitor that has, but it is something to be noted and may be an issue w/ the Anschutz repeater models.

Another vote for Vudoo, but as said above if you are really serious about wringing the last bit out of any 22, you have to not just brand test but also lot test.
My CZ is very, very good and, for the price plus pillar and bedding, I doubt you can beat it. But somehow the Vudoo is the rifle that always ends up at the range with me. If you've tried them, you know why.
Again, be aware that regardless of what you buy, lot testing is essential, and you're going to spend some money if you want those last few hundredths and thousandths of an inch.

I have owned a couple of vudoos and currently own the Rim X. I prefer the Rim X because I can chamber my own barrels for it or use prefits.
They are both good choices and have the same Remington 700 footprint.
They are both just as capable for shooting small. Shooting small in Rimfire is 99% the lot of ammo/brand you use. You can spend a lot of money on match Rimfire ammo but just because it’s expensive does not mean it will perform in your rifle.
My vudoo shot like a shotgun with the 2 lots of center x I tested and that ammo is not cheap. It ended up liking some CCI sv and midas.
On the flip side, my Anschutz shoots most Rimfire ammo I feed it very accurately and so does my CZ 457. The Bergara seems to favor the cheaper ammo which is good and the Rim X is picky depending on what barrel I have screwed on it.
