Vandergrift Sportsmen's 2022 Winter Rifle League

[JLW]

Vandergrift Sportsmen will hold their first match on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Gates open at 7am sigh ups start at 8am and Matches start at 10am. We will shoot 4 relays at 200yds. Match fees are $20.00 per rifle and lunch is included in Match Fees. If you want to shoot 2 rifles second rifle fee will $15.00. We will also shoot a group shoot of 5shots no sighters at 200yds fee will be $2.00 extra There will be 2 Classes Custom and Factory.
Vandergrift Sportsmen will also shoot matches On February 5, 2022, March 5, 2022, and April 2,2022. These shoots will be on the First Saturday of the month.

You can shoot 2 rifles in the same class at McDonalds and LCSA. That is 2 different rifles not the same rifle entered twice.

Nope, it would possibly pay the shooter first,second and third. Our theory, he paid for three guns should be able to win $$ with all three if possibly placing 1st,2nd and 3 rd.

I disagree, you want an extra chance. You can shoot 15 guns and pay the entry fees for each. , but the first gun shot is your score. No one wants that.

ur not shooting the same relay or same gun it starts over when u shoot the new gun more money for the club more money in the pot that I could win also it’s a win win I only shoot one gun but I like the extra money in the kitty

Fuj I am not sure what your asking but the guys that want to shoot multiple guns in one class want the score from each gun to be eligible to win. The few guys that shoot 3 guns in a class are pretty dialed in by the time they get to that third gun. Part of the game if you screw up bad enough you can ruin your chances in a MATCH by crosafiring. Well, now the pull out the next gun. When does it become the guy with the most guns, the most money for entry fees can buy his wins. So you bring a new guy, he sees guys shooting multiple guns getting multiple chances and he says, Let me our of here, I will never be able to compete in this. He is right, but 3 gun Pete could care less, he got his advantage. Want to shoot more, at most matches you have about 7 min to shoot. 2 min to shoot your sighters and score, 5 minutes left to burn up your sighters and your barrel. Go practice you might not need multiple guns to try and win. So I have said my piece, Let this become common practice the sport will go away much quicker than it is now.

Jeff u know as well as I do that on any given day about 5 guys can win the match the new guy won’t win regardless ur good enough to that u can beat the guy shooting 6 guns ur names always at the top I’m surprised u don’t welcome the competition and extra money
