Bobcat pose

Back in march i got my first bobcat. I took it to a taxidermy and am still waiting on it to be Finnish. I was told about a year turnaround. It was not a big one but i was happy. Today i was out calling coyotes, saw a bit of a shadow move in a wash bottom. I could not see through the brush good to see what it was. I did not want to move much and scare it away. I was able to lean to my right enogh to get a small window through a bush and stare right at a cat staring back at me. It was sitting there assessing the situation and me. It took me about 4 min to get a clear enough window and i took the shot. I got another ! She is way bigger than my other. Now i need to decide how i want this mounted. Im not into ones on tree branches. Ill attach a pic of how i requested my other one to look. Does anyone on here have one mounted and how did you have it done? Just looking for ideas. Thank

Have you seen the pose of them snarling ? I will see if I can find one. Like you, I have only killed 2 bobcats. I saw the biggest one I have ever seen this year but no chance for a shot. They are like little ghost moving through the woods. First one I shot I called it in with a fawn bleat distress call. They like to sit back and watch the show too. Congratulations on your kill. Nice cat.

I have called in 4 total but did not see the first 2. Other guys i was out with saw them.Brother in law shot at one but missed. Said it was huge with a real dark underbelly. Me and the caller was up wind and never saw it.

I worked with a Taiwanese fella who said I was like Chinese, eat anything. He said he's not like that, tofu and chicken only. I told him he was missing out because squirrel and rabbit beat chicken any day.

Dang that is awesome!

I have called two in with a fawn bleat, after hunting in Oklahoma for over 20 years.

The first one jumped the arrow from my 300ft/sec compound bow. The second got its hair parted from my .270 Win while on the move.

Very hard to get a good shot on these cats here, or I am just a crappy hunter.

A friend was deer hunting on my farm when he heard a heck of a commotion. He then saw a bobcat with a squirrel in its mouth. Shot the cat and took both to a taxidermist to get mounted. That taxidermist turned into a meth head and stopped paying the electric bill. Everything spoiled.

I took this one in yesterday to a different place than the one in march. Hope they both come out good. Should get first one back in a few months as a year is coming up. Was quoted a year on this one as well. Keep fingers crossed.
