Does anyone have experience with these websites (and others like them) that seem to have oodles of primers at "reasonable" prices when none of the large retailers can keep them in stock even at UNreasonable prices?

They are scams. Both take payment with methods you cannot get a refund with. If they don't take a major card run fast away. I have two friends that fell for this early on. Not good. Once Zelle sends the money you have ZERO ability to get your money back. At least with PayPal , not to Friends and Family, you can claw it back.

There's even one dressed up to look like Hodgdon.
Use your head, if it seems too good to be true then there should be red flags. Here's a couple: They accept Paypal(against ToS), they don't have hazmat fee listed, they have powder in stock(powders come in stock in waves at reputable retailers), they have domains registered in bizarre places, and they have only existed for a few months/weeks.
Be careful, vet the site.

Yesterday I was searching for powder and found the very suspicious sites below - all had pleanty of powder and primers in stock - none accepted credit cards or PayPal

https://cci.primersshop.com - says they are in Salt Lake City (no actual address) phone number has NY area code.
https://loaded-firearms.com/ - gives an address in Arnold PA but when I checked on Google maps it's an empty storefront - only takes zelle or cash app as payment

I could go on and on with these forever, there seem to be more scam sites for reloading components than actual legitimate sites. Buyer Beware

Always. I'd strongly recommend never, ever buying from an unknown website unless they have an easily-corroborated physical "brick and mortar" street address, unless they have several unrelated examples of "track record" remarks from different buyers and reviews. Unless you're nearby and can physical validate they're real and upstanding. Else, you're quite possibly going to get burned. Particularly, as others have said, if the only purchasing methods they'll take are the ones that offer you zero recourse if they screw you.

Of course, spots like GunBroker, say, are similarly with folks you don't know, but sites like that have "track record" mechanisms and strong controls at the website "corporate" level that help deter scamming vendors. Still, even with such sites, I'd strongly suggest only buying from a vendor that has many dozens, if not hundreds of sales with good ratings, and that offers a mode of payment that supports recompense if you get scammed.

Get on DISCORD, I Synched my Phone Browser to my Computer Browser got an alert that Brownell's had VARGET one pounders. got 2 my order went through and confirmed while sitting in my Office. Get on the Reputable dealers sites and you'll have better luck. I have enough stuff now to shoot for a couple of years and have shed no tears. Ammo Seek is a good place to start, but you have to be fast.

There is a thread here in the Reloading Forum called Reloading Components in Stock -- Running Topic that you can follow where members share when components (powder primers, etc.) are in stock. Best (and safer) bet to follow that group.

Agree. The easiest sign is put 1 million primers in your cart. If it lets you…..SCAM ALERT. LOL.
