Can't help with the RDFs but I've run 51.5 grains of H4350 with the 183s for 2880 fps with a 30" barrel. Can't imagine that combination wouldn't work with your RDFs. The barrel was a Broughton 5C. Dropped weight to the 160 class bullet for my 284s.I need load data for a 185 RDF bullet in a 284 win. with H4350 if any data is available ?
2880 was my sweet spot. Long barrel life and comfortable shooting. I think 51.2 was my load with 183s. I mostly used H4831 but alternated between the two. I don't shoot the LA 284 today as the SA has replaced it using the 160 class bullets. I began using RL17 and had good velocities and great accuracy. I just found that I didn't need 3000 fps to get best accuracy and consistency. A couple more minutes on the dial with 2850-2880 and the system was flawless. Only thing that could have made it better was infinite barrel life and that ain't happening.Well I run 180 Berger HB in a 30" 1-8.5 F/Class Rifle
H-4350 around 48.5 works well to a 1000 Yards
Most Guys have backed off below 2800 ?
Barrel Life and Weight Time Plus Cost = Sad Faces.
The 184 RDF's indeed have a longer bearing surface. As testedThe 185 RDFs must have a long bearing surface as they need waay less a charge than 180 Hybrids in my F gun. Be careful working up loads for them.
