New 223 by ODCR

Here is my new 223 rifle that was built by Zack at Old Dominion Custom Rifles. Equipment as follows:
Remington 700, with Hawk Hill Remington varmint contour barrel, 1-8 twist, 20" length, threaded for suppressor.
Black Cerakote.
Mesa Precision Altitude stock.
H-S Precision bottom metal.
Jewell trigger.
Leupold VX-5HD, 4-20x52.
About 60 rounds downrange. All shots from a bipod and suppressed. Needless to say. I'm very happy with the results.

Hey Bro, happy it turned out well for you. Fine looking rig no doubt. Zack can do some mighty fine work and everything he builds shoots lights out. Enjoy it.

EDIT: Yep, I'm partial to the Leupolds too. All my rifles wear them.

Thanks for all the help on this one, and on the previous rifles as well. They all shoot great!
This one is fun because it was purpose built to run suppressed. The barrel length is just right.
We'll be sending more NC $$$ up your way.

I should also mention the guys out at Mesa Precision Arms, They inletted the stock for the H-S bottom metal, and my barrel contour. It was a very nice fit, and easy to bed.

Ive mounted a few of the newer Leopold's a 5 and several 6s. They are clear and seem to tract well. I don't think they are a step down from any scope Ive ever looked through.

Very nice rifle!! Once you shoot suppressed it's hard to go back. Amazing accuracy with a factory load! Zac must be doing something right.

He sure is doing it right, and my other rifles by him shoot just as well.
I have not fired this rifle without the suppressor - i love the reduced noise. I still wear earplugs, but don't feel the need for muffs. I shoot my 6BR, and my 222 Remington with the same can. Zack 'smithed both of those rifles too.
