6BR seems to shoot any charge ?

Don’t understand !

All 3 of my 6BRs, I can take an 80g Berger FB jammed into lands, add anywhere between 30 and 32.5 grains of Reloder 15 and the only difference I see is vertical .
Im not complaining at all , just wondering why ?

If all you see is vertical several things. Number one they are probably not competitive. Number two, given number one, no they do not all shoot the same charge. It may be showing that a 6 br is not usually difficult to tune. If these happen to be custom barrels all cut with the same reamer you are seeing the value of that, they all want pretty much the same load with minor tweaking. In my mind what your seeing is a good thing. The basic 6 br is no doubt a fine cartridge that can fill a lot of roles both in the competitive games and in the field. Smile friend, your in a good place.

Well, that is not right. Send me that barrel and I will test it for you. LOL

No two barrels are machined exactly the same, not talking chambers here but the actual bore hole down the entire length. Very few will have the hole exactly in the center of the barrel and if they are not "clocked" the same the point of impact will be different. If all your seeing is vertical that's actually good.

I agree . It sure makes load development easy . Throw powder and go .

Yeah I have a few rifles like that, make up rounds and go shoot. I call em my "fun guns". On the other hand I have some that never shoot the same load the same any time I take them, this is really irritating and just stumps the hell out of me as to why they do this. Go to range practice on Thursday and dial it in, go to match on Saturday and it's not shooting the same as Thursday,....grrr!

I wonder in my case if it’s barrels that were cut with same reamer ? I have 2 Shilen pre fits and 2 Criterion pre fits and I was told they use the same reamer .
