Bruno Shooters Supply

I live 20 miles from Kelbly’s and would always stop in Bruno’s tent at the Super Shoot. Bought a lot of powder, primers, and bullets from them. Yesterday I ordered 4 solvent bottles and a Redding 357 Mag sizer die. I cancelled it when I saw $17.00 for shipping.

Where is the super shoot?

my experience is that the online order form seems to default at times to $15/$17 shipping. I called about that while ago and was told they would only charge actual shipping. The last small item I ordered, the checkout process said $15.54 for shipping. When came time to ship and charge my CC - they charged me $3.22 for shipping. ymmv
Thx for info. I tried placing order again after reading your post and had issues with credit card number. Entered it manually and it failed. Scanned credit card 3 times and same error. Will try tomorrow

Just purchased a 8lb. of IMR 4064 yesterday and with my Military discount , it breaks down to 31.45 a pound . Think that's about as reasonable as you'll find in the current market . Lester , Jason and Amy have always treated their customers fairly to my knowledge . I've been doing business with them for five plus years and will continue to do so . Unlike some of the "chains" who started gouging months before the shortages started . My car doesn't know how to get to Cabela's , Bass-Pro , or Sportsmen's anymore .

I shop there frequently (weekly), but I am a walk-in customer and do not need things shipped.
Reputable? Absolutely. Generational business, family members working hard when I go there. IMO, these days, Jason Bruno is the guy who holds the place together, and by God he works his ass off.
If I had to pick on something, I think they sometimes gouge prices. Forum Boss has told me this is because they buy from other retail outlets and have to mark up. I agree *sometimes*. Other times, I think Lester has to pay for his lovely new Ram pickup :-) (Bit like Larry's wife's shoes at Midway).
End of the day, pay the price or don't ..but do I think they're reputable and honest? Absolutely.

Has anyone bought from them before?? Are they reputable? Thanks
Yes, I have. and reputable. March 2021-I bought powders not available anywhere else (mostly) in person passing through Phoenix. They have a large supply of reloading gear! This is a smallish business and they had ALOT of boxes prepped for shipping UPS. The prices for powders were a bit high and I was glad to pay up. Good folks.

From the web:
Hazardous Materials. For FedEx Ground U.S. services, the surcharge for packages containing hazardous materials is $27.50 per package.
Hazardous Materials. UPS accepts Hazardous Materials only from customers with a UPS Dangerous Goods Agreement in effect and a Scheduled Pickup account, and then for transport within all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Ground: $27.50. Air: $37.50.
Then add standard shipping.

As others have said, if you don't like the price then don't buy it. I have purchased from Bruno's a few times this year, and I do not regret my decision. I have found some items in stock that I was not willing to leap on due to a higher cost, but it appears Midway and Brownells are basically asking for just as much nowadays.

Thanks to Bruno's prompt email notifications, I have been able to pickup enough primers and powder to keep me going for a while. I scored an 8lb jug of Ar-Comp from Bruno's just a few weeks ago at a fair price. Can't believe I didn't know they had a military discount, thanks for that info.

My two cents to this month old thread. Yes they are honest and reputable. they have been around many years. If you care about what you pay you have to watch their prices and shipping. I buy from them if it works out for me.—- I sure wish their shop was near me though- Im sure Id be in there every week buying something then!!!

Bruno’s has my business. All I was asking because I was a new customer. But I’m satisfied and will continue doing business

I try real hard to make judicious decisions regarding purchases from many of our suppliers these days. Lester has maybe been less than accommodating with some of his prices but there have been occasions where I found he had what I needed in stock and at a reasonable price, too. Since I hate driving into Phoenix, I try to combine trips down there with my purchases from his store for the sake of economy. I place my order for pick up and they text me when I can come in to pick it up, saves on HAZMAT! I pay online so it's just a matter of grabbing the boxes and heading out. Simple. Maybe it isn't for some folks and so be it, we all have the right to make choices.:)

there are more post on this subject with more opinions.
you can make your own choice.
they cater to the walk-in and local crowd instead of the on-line folks. indicate it is a manpower issue for shipping, but have plenty to ring up the registers for walk in's
we all have a choice, when they are the last possible option i will check with them.

POWDER, PRIMER, and AMMO PRICE GOUGING! - title in the reloading forum - lots of pro's and con's
