***UPDATE*** NEW RIFLES

Well, my buddy Carl didn't get by today. I think he may be under the weather a little bit. Anyway, I was able to blow out 33 pcs. of my brass and was just getting ready to re-size and realized I don't know the trim length for the 6BX. Anybody care to enlighten me please ?

Shoot them a few times then trim to the average shortest. The BRX isn't particularly sensitive to a bit of variation in case length. You'll find it crazy easy to load for. You can go to a mid range F match and shoot stupid good scores with fire form loads.

Managed to get my Peterson brass blown out for my 6BRX over the week end and yesterday. Loaded up a powder test for the 105 gr. Berger and 107 gr. Sierra bullets last night. My Peterson brass weighs 10 gr. more than Lapua brass so had to back down a bit from where I was originally thinking I would start with Varget. Hopefully tomorrow I can get that done and see where I'm at with it. Wish I had some 105 gr. Bart's boolitts but I'll get some one day I guess.

My buddy Carl is still not feeling well so his rig is on hold until he is feeling better.

Sounds worrisome...
Speedy Recovery and hoping they don't need to put him in the hospital.

If I had something like that waiting for me to get better, I would be up in no time...

In for the range report.

UPDATE ON THE 6BRX - Did a powder check today since I'm using Peterson brass thought I'd start low and work up from 30.0 gr. to 31.2 in .3 increments for 5 steps. These were my best groups from both bullets and both were the worst S D & E S of the day. Right. Go figure. No worries at all. I'm just happy to see it grouping so well. But, I had no doubts about that.

107 gr. Sierras 30.6 gr. Varget CCI 450M Primer M V 2804 S D 7 E S 14 .091 Group. T/B setting zero
105 gr. Bergers 31.2 gr. Varget CCI 450M Primer M V 2821 S D 13 E S 23 .112 Group. T/B setting zero

Exciting, always fun welcoming a new rifle to the fold, enjoy! I’ve never had the pleasure of a O.D. Rifle but I do have one waiting in line. I’m sure it won’t be the last.
Very good. I'm sure u will find it to be top quality workmanship and a shooter no doubt. Zack is by far the best builder I've had build for me.

UPDATE: Carl finally made it over today. We got it all together, his barrel broke in, and some brass blown out. I loaded him some 140 gr. Berger L R Target bullets with 44.0 gr. of RL-19 @ .020 OTL in Rem brass and he shot a nice 5-shot sub-quarter inch group this afternoon with it. He is a happy camper no doubt. He was singing praises to Zack when he left my house so another check mark on Zack's page for a job well done.

nice work on the 6BRX ,, great caliber
looking slow there atm get her up to 2950fps or 3000fps and it will sing with both 107gr smk and 105gr hybrids.. if that powder doesnt work H4350 works a treat around 35gr

Well, I think I am done with the 107 gr. Sierra MK in the 6BRX. I shot a .248 10 shot group today with that load from last week. 31.8 gr. of Varget @ 11 E S & 5 S D - 2980 fps. I have them seated .005 jam to lands and this is Peterson brass. E C T/B @ 4
If Zack builds it, it will shoot.
