Gun Owners Doxxed in GB

Only in Gr. Br, and Missouri. Against Missouri state law, the DMV released (according to the news) the personal information of all CCW holders in Missouri to the press and the Federal government. What’s one to say.......

The press release went on to say that certain elected officials intervened to stop the publishing of addresses and other personal information of CCW holders. I guess just the Fed and some reporters know everything released by the DMV.

Love this line:

"On their blog they had encouraged fellow travellers to contact firearm owners and demand information about their activities."

I can just picture that group of tofu eating pencil neck likely lads going door to door shaking down gun owners. That'll work out well for them I suspect... NOT.

If you read to lower link. Is was 6 years ago and led to multiple break ins and firearm thefts.

In a more sinister development, the Taliban now have access to a US developed database that includes retina scans, photos, fingerprints of all the population in Afghanistan...developed to "make it easier to help assist with payrolls, refugees, movement and medical care..." Give some thought to that one. The only difference between being a known "citizen" of a government and a persecuted "undesirable" is the benevolence of the government.

Of all the staggering mistakes made in Afghanistan, this one ranks close to the top. The implications for everyone in other countries should truly be a wakeup call as well.

This story alone should be reason enough against any gun registry , of any kind . Federal or state . Can you imagine the surprise of the would-be perp breaking into my house to steal my stuff , and find me at my loading bench . Watching FoxNews , while reloading .308's , with my Glock .40 on the bench next to me . RUH-ROH . A real bad day for the bad guy . And Arizona has the Castle Doctrine Law , too .

The Gun Owners registry information for Great Britain was published over the weekend.

Not so! This has nothing directly to do with registering firearms ownership and/or records of UK firearms / shotgun certificate holders. The hacked outfit is Guntrader UK, a commercial site for listing stuff for sale.
As with any other such site that asks users to register and provide addresses and contact details, it has a duty of care under law to provide security and is now being investigated by the UK data regulator.

Many of the people on these leaked records aren't even registered gun owners or users as the site covers sales of non-certifiable low-power airguns, also scopes, optics and other accessories. Most UK gun owners have never registered their details with this firm and the current episode is a good argument not to.

I noticed right away they are not going to confront gun owners they simply provide a map and want someone else to do their dirty work and take all the risk.
