Off topic. Thank you Lowe’s for honoring the 13

Today me and my wife stopped by Lowe’s. We both were pleasantly shocked. Rarely do my beliefs align with any corporate retailer these days. But, as you can see, this was very touching. Made me a little upset, because this did not need to be the case. But again, a nice tribute.

Great gesture! Yeah my Lowe's has the Veterans Parking. I don't use it because I'm still able bodied. I had no reason to go there lately, but I shop there as a first option purely because they offer a veteran's discount. Even if I didn't use it (which has happened at the self checkout a few times) I still appreciate the gesture that the other ? ? store never offers. Having once worked there for a short time I know for a fact that they brag that the founders put huge pallets of empty boxes up on high shelves so that they could show their lenders all the inventory and sales potential to front them more money for the business. Never been a fan since.

We all should give thanks to a vet when given the chance and be very thankful for the sacrifices they have made and kiss the ground we walk on every day for the freedoms we have. And to resist those that would take them away from us.

Yesterday Applebee's had a table set in the center of their entrance with 13 place settings.
I think remembering is the important thing. I think seeing others remember, that takes you by surprise, shows there are folks out there in greater numbers than one may think. That Lowes is a good example that the OP showed.
The local Home Depot here (upstate NY) has spots reserved for Purple Heart recipients.
