Haven't sold anything on here. The knowledge and helpfulness of members here have well been worth the membership upgrade. I don't think my upgrade made any difference in how helpful everyone has been but... without funds to keep the forum running, they can't.

I supported the forum when I could, but I've been unemployed for a year and a half. I have an interview on Tuesday, so hopefully I'll be a paying member once again soon.

With all the Covid crap, I chose to be unemployed for the amount of time I have been. I've been debt free for quite a while, so financially I'm OK. I just watch what I spend money on.

My Gold Membership is priceless to me. Even though there is no Platinum membership, nothing stops you from donating more. I have made many friends on this site and gained much information. Further I have sold a few things and bought a good many items at great savings. Several years ago, I posted a need for a benchrest stock. I was given a beautiful stock by one of our members. He suggested a small donation be sent to the forum. I am now contributing $10.00 a month and will continue to do so as long as I can breath. This is in addition to my yearly membership fee.

Donations are ease to make through PayPal. You can make a one time payment or recurring payments. You can also simply send a check.

Josh has a fine idea. He has a rifle for sale here. He stated he would make a donation when it sells. What if everyone would do that. There are many on this site who have sold hundreds of items here.

For those who are not paying members, would you go to a restaurant and leave without a tip?

At first glance this is a good idea, but if you can't get someone to ante up a mere $25 for a Silver, they sure aren't going to cough up $100. The revenue increase would be far short of what this site should be bringing in if the non-paying members would just go for at least a Silver, and the burden would once again fall on those who pay now.

re: Gunbroker, Don't forget the Governor. If you sell something on GB.com to someone who lives in a sales tax state, the buyer will have to pony up that amount and then the seller has to remit the amount back to GB.
