6mm Creedmoor115 gr Berger Hunting VLD

Are these bullets seating depth sensitive ? Any suggested loads for these ? 6mm Creedmoor
Work up to this charge but guys on here that I’ve spoke to are having luck with ~41.0 grns of RL16, CCI450’s, with lapua SRP brass.
Start at -0.03” off and work in 3K increments until your -0.021” off.
I believe this Bullet likes to be around the -6 to -9K area more times than not, from
what I’ve seen.
If you have H4350 instead of RL16, you can use a similar starting charge. My last lot of H4350 was .8 grains slower than RL16 in a .243 win case, but again, start low on powder charge. Good luck!

I hope your data works. I am almost 100 rounds with the 115 VLD and haven't been able to find consistency.

41grs sounds like too much powder to me for a naked bullet, especially in a Lapua case which holds less powder than lets say a Hornady case. 40grs sounds better to me, lemme check into this.

Here’s a similar thread.

Hornady has a max of 41.1grs RE16 with their 110, I'd think 40.5grs RE16 would be max for a 115, but loading in a heavier Lapua wouldn't have to download a touch, maybe 1 grain or so? You know, cuz the Lapua holds less powder.??

Some guys like to be right on the edge now don't they?

Spoke to a Berger Tech ,they recommend COL of 2.800 . Using the Hornady seating depth tool ,2.918 is touching the lands in fact the bullet stays in the bbl, needs a" little" (Tip rifle up and bullet fall out )help dislodging .
