7/13/21 UPDATE:
I just talked to Ed of the 6.5 Guys. He stated they intend to keep the 65guys.com site live. He is working right now with the hosting company to get things up again.

The videos are still live on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/65guys/featured

This appeared on the 6.5 Guys Facebook page in February 2020:

Folks,
I'd like to give you all a quick update regarding our whereabouts.
Long story short, Steve and I are still on the right side of the dirt. I, unfortunately, have been dealing with a life altering set of circumstances that have prevented the 6.5 Guys from being there for all of you.
Steve and I are pleased that our current library of videos continues to be relevant to those getting into the sport of precision rifle. I also recognize that we have not been responsive to your inquiries and for that I apologize.
Please bear with us as we determine our next steps. Meanwhile, we sincerely appreciate your concern and understanding.
All the best,
Ed and Steve

Ed and Steve are both very, very bright guys with demanding professional careers. One factor at work was the challenge of creating a huge amount of content (articles and videos), for a nominal return. We should be grateful for the excellent content the 6.5 Guys produced over the years. We managed to highlight some of the stories in our Bulletin.

liked the 65guys website and videos. try out Bolt Action Reloading on youtube. More than enough technical reloading stuff for people.

Forum Boss: That Bolt Action Reloading YouTube channel has some useful information. However, the host apparently doesn't have any accurate rifles, and his load development results are actually pretty laughable. Consequently, take what he says with a grain of salt. He is a bright guy, but like many on YouTube, he really doesn't understand what it takes to shoot 1/4 MOA. And he advocates certain equipment that is far from the best.

I planned to do a Bulletin Video showcase article featuring his videos. The more I looked at them, and his mediocre or worse shooting results, the more skeptical I became of his whole channel. The guy needs to box up his video camera, get a truly accurate rifle, and be mentored by someone who really understands accuracy.

He did one test with average groups in excess of 1" for 5 shots at 100 yards. Honestly guys, you can do that with mediocre factory ammo and an AR15. Something he is doing is really wrong -- I suspect cheap rifles, lousy rests, incompetent trigger pulling, and no understanding of windflags.

By contrast here is my shooting with my 6BR Savage a decade ago. This is NINE 3-shot groups, ALL quarter-MOA or less. That’s with two different powders and multiple load specs.
