Lenzi vs SEB

I understand he is only human and let's face it we all make mistakes and he told me that he would of fixed it and I told him that I appreciated that but like I said, I would of had to send it back to you then you would have had to ship it back to Italy, it's just too much of a hassle. I paid Alan for the parts that he had to replace which was the bearing and race and I had to pay shipping to and from Georgia. It's probably the smoothest Lenzi out there. It beats my friends Lenzi from CT. His is nice but not as nice as mine is now.

Hello Jim, I'm looking at purchasing a new Lenzi front rest but have a question I am hoping you could answer for me or point me in the right direction before I place my order. I see that you can order the Lenzi front rest with either a 3" or 5" fore end. My1000 yd rifle has a 4" fore end. I'm not sure if I should order the 3" or 5" fore end, would you know which Lenzi fore end would work with my 4" fore end ? Thank you and have a good day, Dan

Just joking aside.

I only offer rests that work, and proven in competitions. I try my best. You can see and know that any of my rests are capable to win any matches without any modifications, on the right hands and circumtances.
I will let anyone says "bad thing" about my rests, the top the bag etc but the proof is always on papers and firing lines around the world. Not like some others, to sell my rests I never and do not try to belittle or to mention any bad things about other rests. That's absolutely not my style. Not like some others, I always come with my own rests design. You would never seen my rest immitates or similar to other rest, my rests always totally different than others. I also never buy or inspect other rest in my whole life. I never make something for other rests as well. My rest is my rest, yours is yours, for me.
We also support and do give back to F-Class, Benchrest and Rimfire BR. Probably more than others?
That's all and plain simple.

I have a Seb for short range benchrest and it works good allowing you to move around the target fast.

but for long range benchrest and f-class shooting, aiming at the 10-ring area, I find knob turning faster and more precise.

These hydraulic top units were available years ago.. This one rides on linear bearings and the knob controls are located near the trigger guard area on the front rest. The control knobs (windage/elevation) allows precise control and very easy to use.

Too bad someone doesn’t make these,

No disrespect to the Seb rest but I’ve had mine rebuilt with improvements (better bearing, spring loaded adjusters, and eliminating/replacing with better internals).

If I were in the market today for a joystick front rest, the newer generation 21st century hybrid would be a good choice.

The next generation of joystick design should be based on linear bearings for precise control and longevity... the Farley and Seb are based on delrin strips to take up the slop. The delrin wears out, gets contaminated, and just does not function after time.

At this price point that’s not too much to ask.
 
Going to be honest, I'm really liking what I see with T-Rex by Hotrod6.5 It's pricey for me but if I got a Seb I'd probably want his 5 axis top. I'd be at the same dollar figure. Still not totally decided but the videos I see of the T-Rex are impressive. He should be proud the the T-Rex

Check out the new Oplo rest which is made in Australia.

I haven't, I have purchased one of the rear plates they make, and it's a quality product. My gunsmith saw one being used at our Nationals in June and said it was a very impressive piece of kit, mind you at the price tag it runs, it would want to be. From all reports the shooter who was effectively evaluating the rest was very impressed with it and has since purchased it.

I understand a couple of top F-Open shooters in the US are aware of it, and interested in it due to it's construction and use of linear bearings, which should assist in keeping the rifle on target and minimising the amount of joystick movement needed to keep it on target.

I've made the decision to purchase a T-Rex which comes in a little cheaper than the Oplo.

No it was screwed up from the start. I really noticed it when another fellow competitor and friend from CT let me try his. It was totally different than mine was. My friend who fixed it also said the same thing and I told you what he said about it when he fixed it. I didn't want to tell you my real feelings about the rest in the beginning and that was my fault. I should of told you the truth about the way it didn't work so well.

I’m not saying it was all the rest but I shot the World Open with a new Lenzi rest and rear bag. The rifle tracked really well and I placed pretty well in some tough competition.

The ironic thing is one of the prizes I got was a Seb NEO. They are great rests too but having owned one in the past I can say I prefer the Lenzi. I think it is much smoother than the Seb but that is simply my opinion. It wasn’t difficult to sell the NEO so they sure have a strong following!
