Looking for a scope option.

16" barrel Aero Precision AR15 in 6MM ARC. I'm thinking 2 single latch detachable bases, 1 tactical scope and 1 for more precise work out to 400 yards. I need recomdarions for a Precision scope as I believe I have the base and tactical scope I'd like.

I really .like the Burris VTR II 8-40x50 F-Class MOA (I have 3), especially since it can be had for ~$800 if you're patient; if not, the street price is ~$1200. One of mine was used on this site, one an open box, and the third a Black Friday deal - all for $800. The reticle is great for holding off, and the glass is good. One is used on my RPR in .338 Lapua , and has no issues after 700 full power rounds. The clicks are crisp, and tracking is good when shooting the box or the lollipop target. You'll need a different mount since it has a 34 mm tube.

You ought to give a look to Sightron. I'm up to 4 of the SIII's now. The 8-32x56 would likely work well for you.

I bought the 8x40 Burris F-Class last year at Sport Optics
for $ 900. My 2 primary Rock Rivers have Bushnell 4.5x30
Elites. Old school mil dots but I love em' for 600 and beyond.
That Burris is a 34mm tube where as the Bushnell's are 30mm.
