Barnes Bullets

Curious is anyone loading Barnes match grade bullets?
I'm interested in the 105's match burners, wondering how well they shoot.
Any thoughts or opinions is appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Wishing everyone a great evening.

The 175gr match burner shoots better for me than the 175 sierra match king in my 308 winchester. I just purchased 500 of the 68gr match burners for my 6x45 and so far with imr8208xbr my 5 shot groups are hovering between half and 3/4" Nothing spectacular but good enough for woodchucks and yotes.

I use the 68’s in my 6x45 also at under 1/2 MOA, great bullet. I tried the 105’s in my 6x47 Lapua but the 105gr Hornadys gave better results. But you have to let your barrel tell you what it likes…

I’ve taken the 112 match burner to 1200 meters with success hitting a 1 ft square plate at 1200 on the second try. The miss was because of wind. It held the waterline perfectly. I am a believer. I haven’t tried the lighter weight ones so i cannot comment their

I ordered some of the Barnes 105 grain Match Burners......we're gonna give them a try this Friday. My son is hoping to shoot a 6x45 AR in the CMP's new Tactical AR Class at the Camp Perry National Matches. We're trying to get out to 1000 yards with the 20" tube.....we have been testing the Nosler 105 RDF's (launched at 2640 fps) but have been getting occasional fliers with a 20" 1/8 Twist tube (the RDF may not be fully stabilized here in Texas at Sea Level).

Any Information or thoughts are Appreciated.....as we're getting tight on time.

The RDF stands for "Random Damn Flyer." I tried 600 of those things in 6.5 and never could eliminate the flyer no matter how I sorted. My dad was shooting the 6mm 105 and was seeing the same thing.

The 105 Match Burners are a decent bullet, but I wouldn't pick them over Bergers Hybrids/VLDs or Hornadys ELDs. I'll use them for break in and practice, but not in a match.
