Giving my KRG a face lift!

Usually at night time while I am on the computer catching up on all of the topics, my wife is usually making tumblers. Now, I have watched her make several "wood grain" tumblers and I often thought that it would be neat and wondered if I couldn't apply that same technique to a gun stock.
I got the extra KRG gun stock that I had out and she spray painted it white (apparently you have to start with that color), then you have to pick out your selection of alcohol inks (which by the way have to be applied with a little brush and holding the stock vertically), and of course the wait time which isn't very long for the alcohol inks to dry, then you have to put a protective coat over it. Now, I like the look of the epoxy that she uses on the tumblers, it is a nice glass look to them. We decided that with all of the nooks and crannies that it wouldn't be a good choice to apply to this style of stock. So, we decided to use the Polycrylic satin finish on it. 3 coats later it was finished!
Since she was busy doing some orders that she had. I took it upon myself to attempt to do this. Now, I am by no means a "crafter", but, I was pretty pleased with the way that it turned out.
Note: This is my RIMX action with a shilen ratchet barrel.

MrBarrel I used Jim Holtz, alcohol ink,Teak wood, brown and coffee with a dab of yellow.
Start with yellow draw a wavy line down the stock 4 or 5 on each side 2or 3 on bottom let dry .Put the yellow away. Now use the brown's kind of following the yellow lines.Use a small paint brush. you don't want much paint or I should say ink on your brush, dip brush in cup then blot excess on side of cup. It takes A while with that little brush! :D

Beautiful! That turned out amazing!
My only question would be, how durable do you think it will be?

EOD Rob, That was a concern I had also.I wouldn't want to abuse it!
Got this off the can.
Polycrylic also resists damage from abrasion scuffing, chipping, water, alcohol and other common household chemicals.
Time will tell,it took the fingernail test!;)
