Federal Brass ?

I can't believe it,I just bought a 100 pcs of 7mmWSM federal brass. The question is,is Federal brass good stuff ?

It's fine. Tends to be on the soft side, i've found.
Keep an eye on your trim lengths.

In general, with Federal brass, you don't need to do much to it. The pockets open up before it needs a second trimming.

Must be a echo in here . These are all the same remarks I heard from a guy at the range yesterday , when he was talking about 7 WSM brass , regarding Winchester . He said the Win is good , but doesn't have much of a recycle life . And he is getting more reloads from Hornady brass , than Win . Might be worth looking into . One of our 7 SAUM shooters said the "older" Win brass worked very good , as compared to the newer brass . I don't shoot a 7mm of any type . Just repeating remarks from some very good 7mm shooters for informational purpose .

Federal Gold Metal brass seems to be better quality. The necks are thicker and the weight is alittle more than the regular brass.

I used for two 243 Win and got 15 reloads out of them - no issues.

All the Federal Brass I have ever used for 7mm WSM and 7MM Magnum over the years, that would be several decades, has been just peachy! Not too soft, not too hard, not too heavy, not too light, just right. Just load it and go shoot!
