How to fireform 6.5x47 Lapua brass and ruin it!

Ok this is my dumbass move for this year so I got it out of the way early. Got several of my rifles out to clean them and decided to take out my 6.5x47 rifle to play with it a little. Shot the 6.5x47 and it was grouping horribly. Gave up on it after about 16 rounds and decided to call it quits and save supplies. I checked everything at the range that I could and seen no issues? Checked more things at home and nothing? I deprimed and went to resized the 16 rounds I shot and noticed issues resizing them. Got looking close at the brass and they look really odd at the shoulder/body junction so I measured them and the ones I just resized and there is almost .014 difference! Then it hit me,... I got the bolts mixed up in the rifles. I may have trashed 16 pieces of Lapua 6.5x47 brass by pushing the shoulder forward about .014. They probably would resize but the shoulder/body seem looks odd so there out.
Lesson learned about keeping bolts in place with each rifle.

I have bolt holsters clearly marked for the rifle. I also never have two out at the same time.

It is doubtful you will separate the head because of this one mistake. I would size them, and use them for "fouling rounds" as long as they don't get the bright head separation ring>>>>then stop using them.

I have a different colored bolt knob for my 3 700’s. My 6x47L is a red gun and the bolt knob is red. If They don’t match it is a no go.

Lefty,
Was the different bolt out of another 6.5x47 or different caliber all together?

Same type, Savage but it was from my 7mmBR. Normally I never have two rifles apart at the same time but I just shot the 7BR and was going to shoot the 6.5x47. Cleaning the 7BR wiping storage oil out of the 6.5. I do like the idea of different colored bolt knobs, maybe different color shrink tubing around the bolt handle...
