Shooters, this message is from Scott Young, who has been leading the charge to get Bucksnort fully electronic.

“We are going to make every effort to run this match on Shotmarkers. To facilitate that, we are asking any competitors that have a shotmarker system to bring it in case we need more than what we have." (we have plenty of frames with bases so all we need are sensors, cables, and sensor hubs.)

We are also concerned about tablets as we'll need two per firing point so please also bring a tablet and if you have a spare please bring it as well as not everybody has one. Same goes for external batteries and charging cords. Some tablets won't last all day and might need a battery to get through."

This is Phil Kollman. I’ll bring mine. When and Where do you want us to Drop off so you can use ?

Phil and Donnie, thank you. If you are coming Friday, any time before it gets "too late" for me to deal with them will be fine. If you are coming Saturday morning try to be there an hour before the match starts, if possible. We'll be doing our usual drop in/drop out open range most of the day Friday starting at about 0830 hrs.

For anybody bringing one, please set your Sensor Hub to channel 2 prior to coming and do not turn on your Access Point before the match or practice. It is also a huge help if you'll take a sharpie and write your Sensor Hub # on the front of your Sensor Hub AND set the name of it to the hub # while you are setting the channel to 2.

I am not the least qualified IT guy in the world, but whoever he is, I am hoping he doesn't pass away before this match. What could go wrong?

Scott Young

All, we are just a few days away and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.

The NRA medals showed up this past week, so we have something shiny to shoot for.

I have a bunch of space left, so if you are interested in joining us, please get your registration ASAP.

In the interest of keeping folks informed.......
As of the evening of Wednesday May 19, Route UU (the paved road into Bucksnort) is under just a few inches of water near its terminus. At present, it is expected to be back down below the pavement late Friday night. More rain could change that, so could no rain.

It does not appear the water will get high enough to cover the alternate way in, commonly known as Granddaddy's Garden road. When you come in on UU there is a gravel road to your left with a sign for Granddaddy's Garden (a nursery). It is steep and rough, but quite passible, just go slow.

I will be keeping an eye on the water level and will provide updates on the conditions if they change.

Bucksnort does not cancel matches based on weather predictions.

See you on the range,
Scott
