Thanks for sharing! Amazing display of courage. This is just one example over a couple of hundred years of the sacrifice our military makes for this great Country. It is also the reason I will NEVER watch or support an event where people kneel or disrespect our flag. Thanks to all who have ever served!!

After 26 combined months serving in "Satan's hairy asscrack" as a combat medic I have much difficulty watching videos like that. I am forever grateful for those with whom I have served.

In the Navy and Marine Corps, there are Eleven General Orders of a Sentry, also known as General Orders of the Watch.

11th General Order: To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post, and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.

Those 2 Marines followed their 11th General Order and gave their lives doing it.

I didn't know that. Back in the day I had to memorize all 11 of them and I think I could still recite all of them, well over 50 years later. The hardest one was #11. Guess there's been a lot of changes that I don't know about since then.
