Yeah I played with gauge pins held in a puller for a while, then changed to a Sinclair expander die and 21st Century expanders. The coated ones are expensive but for the size I use most often, it’s worth it. That’s not an option with gage pins.I prefer the 21st Century mandrels which are coated. I started with the standard steel and decided very early on that the nitride was the ticket.
Check out Century tools in Mississauga I ordered in 2 sets of .30 cal Vermont pins this year $4.00 a pinAmazon want 12 to 13 dollars a piece. I think thats a bit high.
I dont think anyone else sells such a thingDoes anyone know of a less expensive die body and collet nut other than the Porter brand? That brand seems a little pricey. I currently use a Forster bullet puller with mandrel pins but I like the Porter type.
What would you like to find out about it? Perhaps I can try to get hold of someone for you.I found these guys out of South Africe - but I can't get an answer from them

G'day - Isent an enquiry about purchasing the set - the price is reasonable- and the cost of freight, but no reply. It does make one nervous about doing business, particularly at distance. A neighbour tells me that these are the guys behind Impact shooting. Thank you. What would you like to find out about it? Perhaps I can try to get hold of someone for you.

The mandrels screw into the die by mesns of a screw through the top of the die body.
