This should open up a heated debate centering around the 10th Amendment In our Bill of Rights.

Biden's Executive actions were pretty lame, he passed the buck to the Lame AG. The bigger threat is coming, he announced a commission to propose changes at the Supreme Court. What does that mean, well at the present any anti Second Amendment Case would get tossed or overruled as unconstitutional. Once the Court Packing is complete with a 9-6 Leftist majority, we are done. Pay Attention, Stay Active, this isn't political this is your Freedom and Liberty at stake.

Well Chop House you are partially correct. I have been a Financial Planner for 35 years. There are ways to mitigate the issues that you mentioned. You are screwed on your IRA. The other issues...not so much. I agree that inflation will be incredible in the coming years.

The Founding Father's vision of protecting the Constitution was more viable in their time than now. When the Constitution was first penned our country was more centralized than now. Westward expansion has effectively divided us. If you look at the most liberal bastions in every state it's in the centralized mobs of dependent people living in major cities governed by ultra liberals. Take away New York City and a few other places and the state would be conservative. Many people wouldn't kick much dust to protect their own freedom let alone anyone else's. Look at the "bump stock ban" and just about any other incremental gun control legislation or edict ever rendered since 1934.

Sadly we are controlled by a media that's the propaganda wing of the democrat party and they're CEO's are mostly kin in some way or another. Our Judicial has been compromised by liberal think taught by leftist educators over decades of education decay. That 60's Hippy movement glorifying Communism and free love took hold as those committed legions got degrees and took their place in government and all levels of society. Some of the lunatic leftist mobs that run around destroying our cities are populated not only by our young misinformed, overachieving zealots but by those very same old Hippies now in their seventy's and still happy to piss in the tent.

I don't have any easy answer to the decay that we've all allowed to happen over many decades. Actually America's governmental decay started not long after George Washington left office. People that are sure they have a better idea of how to govern slowly managed to remake society. Woodrow Wilson was a committed Socialist and he with most of our early presidents were all European Educated which should shed a lot of light on their political leanings. Wayne Jett's book "Fruits of Graft" is a very good read for those wanting to find out a little more in depth knowledge about the great Depression and how FDR managed to make a bad situation worse while deifying himself.

We now find ourselves under the boot of an unconstitutional corrupt fraudulent election that allows those that dream of destroying America as founded to control their destiny with impunity and we are powerless to do anything about it. If you voted democrat, congratulations you got your wish. Hope you enjoy the full flavor of your accomplishment.

I am curious if everyone understands how broad reaching the agenda in Washington is? They permeate every thread of our lives with propaganda every minute of every day. They teach the current generation that it is normal which makes it easier to expand the loss of freedom with the next generation. It is all designed to subjugate and they do it like chipping away at a block of ice. They don't support a group because it is an underdog, but because it is a tool to make the people who disagree angry. Then they paint you with slander and name calling.

It's the old frog in a pot of water on the stove approach. But the key to it is divide and conquer.

Get out of debt, have a little food stored. Figure out where you might go or do if we had a period of instability brought on by a geopolitical or economic event. Have some tools and skills that might help you to be more self sufficient.
I don’t believe the world will end. But, math is unforgiving. There is no way to fix the hole the politicians have dug without something crazy. Read some history on how other societies have worked when the government has screwed up with unsustainable debt. The French government was in a similar situation before the French Revolution. Read about the stupid economic things they did. I have no idea exactly what will happen. I do know we can’t keep giving away free money.

Needs have little to do with it, one could make an argument that no one needs a 5000 square foot house or multiple houses or a yacht or ...on and on in in fact the "public good" would be served by NOT having those luxuries by way of a smaller carbon foot print. The political elite don't have your interests or public safety or the health and welfare of future generations in mind- only maintaining /continuing their hold on power and feathering their own nest.

The second amendment was written solely with an eye toward the people being able to suppress/resist tyranny by a future government. No other "need" was under consideration at the time.
