Cleaning barrel test

I think this brings up an interesting point.
=> Are threads just for answering the current question or issue or are they also part of a knowledge base for others to search for and find info on their issue?
I think they serve both purposes. The volume of threads on this forum on a wide variety of issues and in some cases spanning years provides a very useful information base that can be easily accessed via a search. Sure, some opinions differ but this can make you think a little deeper (if you want to) about whatever the issue is.

Some information is old but still relevant, some is historical, some was correct at a previous time and has been improved and the answer might be a little different today.

This can result in new and different answers updating our knowledge and capability and I think this is a good thing.

I think the same.

Trev - I was searching Robla Solo Mil before I try it in my TR barrel and came across your post, saw you were using this and also citric acid. The thread is 4 years old and I wondered if you're still using both products ?

I never saw this thread before, but I posted a couple times a few months about how I discovered a Lemi Shine solution that not only easily removed the carbon build up on the front of the muzzle (like it does when there's a break attached). And when I tried the solution on the carbon ring in the chamber, it worked very well in removing it too. Here's one of the posts back in November:
