The information for Virginia is not correct. Under current law a background check must be run on private transfers. Not all FFL's will run the background checks. The Virginia State Police have been running background for private sales at gun shows since the law went into effect. The VSP were at the shows prior to the law going into effect and would run a voluntary check on private transfers. A firearm may be gifted with no money exchanged.

Virginia is rapidly becoming less firearms friendly under the current progressive state leadership and the ability of localities to pass restrictive firearms regulations.

It is one measure of health and fitness. Of course it is not fool proof, but from what I see in every day life it’s no joke. BTW, what is your BMI. I think mine is 22.9.

I wasn’t aware we had nfl linebackers as members. Assuming we do, I guess we would have to default to body fat percentage to categorize them against the prevailing member BMI???????

Why don’t we get back to the subject of this thread as you pointed out earlier. Tell me why you think this law is unconstitutional given the facts laid out by Scalia starting on page 54 of his opinion in Heller.

While Liberals, closet or admitted, wish to debate nuances of anything even remotely related to the 2nd amendment, it helps to see what the "Founding Fathers" intent and motivation for such laws was. From that it is much easier to find understanding rather than navigating a modern day narrative. You will notice the lack of "qualifying" restrictions added in to water down the intent.

And it’s not my simplistic position, it’s written in the constitution. It was written in such a way as for the common man to understand. Why do we need 250 years of lawyers arguing over commas or what “the forefathers really meant was...”

The word "progressive" by definition is a legal term. It means the meaning of all things is relative to the last legal precedent. Or the next one.

Conservative is SUPPOSED to mean that all things are as from the Beginning and nothing is relative to the legal wrangling of men. But GOD has set right and wrong in all men's souls. It no longer means that.

The problem is that the Constitution starts out WE THE PEOPLE... Instead of by the laws of God.

So our government is based in the whims of the people. All of the stop gaps have been removed over time. Now we have a government of the most wicked people on the earth.

Along this vein of thinking ; anybody care to venture how many millions Cuomo "SAVED" the state of N'yark sending covid patients into nursing homes ? And supposedly , hopefully , in his mind anyway . Won't be held accountable for it . I hope he is held FULLY accountable for it , and all his other corrupt mis-deeds . My dear Mother-in-Law is in a Memory Care Unit in N.C. , and we are so thankful she is being cared for , and protected by a caring and thoughtful staff .
