223 Trainer bullet top pics?

What are some of the top pics for 223 trainer bullets? Something that tunes easy, is forging or throat erosion, and fairly consistent from lot to lot. Being a bit cheaper cost in larger 250rd to 1000rd boxes would be even better (when they come back around).

A bullet that we can load 1000rd at a time and use for everything from steel, to prairie dogs, to coyotes. I don't need super BC's just something that tunes easy and stays tuned.

This will be for a PRS and hunting type trainer. Something to get myself and family more volume of shooting. Some prone but mostly tripod, shooting sticks, barricade, and field type positions. Most practice will be in the 200-600yd range with some occasional stretches to 1000 on calm days.

I will be using processed LC brass and have enough Varget, N140, and H4895 for powder for a barrel or two. Standard 223R chamber. 1:7 twist. Max COAL 2.325.

60-77TMK, 77MK 73-80ELD-M, Horn 75 BTHP, Nosler, or possibly factory seconds? What are some other bullets that might work well for this?

The 80 and 88 ELD-m's are outstanding bullets. They should do fine out to 1000 provided you get them up to 2800ish. The 73's seem to do very well out to moderate ranges, too.

The Sierra 69 is tough to beat to 300-400 yards for pure mechanical accuracy.

I will be watching the availability on the 69MK and the 80 and 88 ELD-M.

I would assume you will have to be on the upper end of pressure with a long barrel to get the 88 to do 2800?

My general cheap bullet in 223 is a Honady soft point 55 grain from 50 out to 300 yds, thats as long as our club range goes. LGS always had them for $45.00 per 500. Not so much now with the shortage.

Not sure. I'm using 23.8 gr of N-135, and CCI 400's. I was a bit worried about the thin primers, but they look great with this load. The slightest bit of catering. Obviously a different action/firing pin may give different results. It looked good enough that I'm stepping up to 24.0 gr next match. Not much load data available for the heavy .224 bullets and N-135, but it works.

Using my measured elevation adjustment and working backwards, Hornady's 4DOF calculator says that ends up in the neighborhood of 2850ish at the muzzle.
