Another thread inspired me to come up with something today. I used a Blackhawk picatinny riser, an AR height 1” scope base and a cheap Weaver 1” ring to adapt to the little pic rail on my stock. I had all the stuff on hand except the .058” wall 1” Al tubing. I got that for $26. I had already ground the bayonet mount down to fit my Harvester 300 can. I also ground slots in the bayonet body for the Weaver ring to grip. If this solves the poi change issue, I’ll probably use some structural epoxy to permanently attach it. I put the strap forward of the mount to avoid a worst case scenario of the bayonet flipping into the bullet path if anything comes loose. The whole setup is pretty rigid and I’m not too worried. The bayonet strapped to the can caused an 8” drop in poi at 700 yards. Not anymore.
