Sierra .25 cal. 75 gr. discontined but available

As a heads up, the great Sierra #1600 75 gr. .25 bullet has been discontinued by Sierra. As most know, unless you're shooting a real BR quality bullet like the 87-88 gr. BIB, this Sierra is the closest thing out there. It's always been the accuracy standard of mass produced .25 bullets. If your .25 won't shoot these bullets, you've got gun/scope/etc. issues! ;)

The good news is that Sierra still has them in stock with free shipping while they last! You can order them from Sierras web site. I stocked up and got a bunch.

I'd not dawdle.... ;) -Al

Al-

Howdy !

Yeh.... these made my 22" M-77 .250-3000 a real " death ray " on groundhogs, when shot over 39gr H380 and Fed LR BR primer.

My best friend shot the same combo and got the first one ragged hole 5-shot 100yd group we had ever seen; from a non full-tilt bench gun.

A great bullet , right up there w/ Sierra's 6mm 85HPBT.

With regards,

Thanks for the heads up Al. I ordered 1000. I didn't even realize you could buy bullets straight from Sierra...no tax, no shipping, and a sale price to boot.

Thank you for the heads-up. Placed my order

I didn’t get the 25 cal but I did get a bunch of the 22 cal 50 grainers. Didn’t know they offered These kinds of deals. Thanks for the post.

I've shot some of these #1600s a while back and they were fine for my purpose. But based on all the accolades, it gives me pause to ask the question;

"If these bullets are so great, why are they being discontinued?"

Common enough question and I'm sure the very same answers will be put forth:

-Lack of demand
-New design in offing
-Simplifying production
-Reducing shear number of designs in production

So help a fella out will ya?

Too bad they are gone. In the last while several 25 cal offerings from different brands are gone. Good ones too.

Partially because they came out with the 70gr BlitzKing.

The 90gr BlitzKing is darn accurate to the 500 yards i've taken them.
Coyotes hate them too.

Anyone have an issue getting your order to go through on the Sierra page? Trying to get both the 75s and 100s but can't see to get it to accept my order.
