Let me know your thoughts and/or experiences with MGM barrels.

Thinking about one for a 22lr single shot build.

Only one I have personal experience with is my son's. It is 17 Ackley Hornet for Encore and it shoots fantastic. I've never heard a bad review on their barrels.

I have an MGM Encore 6mm PPC barrel and it shoots like this on a regular basis.

The biggest downside with a break open action is that I can't push it too hard otherwise the groups really open up.

I have a 12 inch .22 and matching 223 built for a g2 contender. I ordered them about a week apart and they shipped them together for me.

I have had a couple and was satisfied. Nice work.

No rim fire.
I have a 204 Ruger Encore barrel (for sale btw). A prefit from Preferred barrels, same shop as MGM. Buddy ordered a prefit 22BR also. All three of these shoot and clean very well.
Have a BF pistol in 7US that was barreled by Virgin Valley, same bunch of guys at MGM. It is an exceptional rig to say the least.

Can't go wrong with MGM. Have a couple rimfire barrels for IHMSA matches.

I had them make me a 26" stainless barrel for my Encore 25-06 single shot a few years back. Excellent quality & accuracy !

I have a rifle length 22lr barrel of theirs for an Encore action. It is the best shooting 22 I have. On a light wind days shooting at 50 yards on a green meanie target (USBR) with Lapua Center X all of the shots are in the center ring with as many as 1/3 of the center dot's knocked out. I milled the fore stock and put in an Anschutz rail section so I could mount my F Class bipod and I run a heavy rear back. Makes it pretty stable.
