I did get the shoulder out a little more with the 90.5 load fire forming yesterday, to where as at least the die will do some work when sizing. Today I just made 20 more at 91.0 and all went well. She's cooling down as I type this, and once ready I will be pressuring up some 245 Berger's with v570.

My fire form load ended up being 91.0 rl33 with 225 elds in the lands .015", for anyone with that laying around the house. As the barrel got towards the 60 round mark, the velocities were +-3,000 fps on this 34" 8 twist brux AKA "BULLET SHREDDER"

Took her to half throttle, now a cool down period. The next ladder starts at a repeat of 88.5 and will be looking them over as we proceed now. Started this ladder at 60 rounds down the tube.

My 26” proof barrel with 9” twist was pushing the 245gr at 2990 fps using 88.5gr of N570 with no pressure signs. I never ran them all the way up to max pressure. Of course my reamer design is slightly different than Alex’s so take the info however you want.

Mine? Mine is 1-8", and I made it longer to get closer to the 2,000 yard target. And Glenn got jealous and is having "the other numbnuts"(that's @Hoodoo in case you didn't know)build him a 34"..... My next one's gonna be 36", so we'll see what goat boy thinks of that!

Never felt anything on bolt lift different than a dry fire lift. The slightest rotation "ring" on the top charge, so I think it's probably close to the end. The error on 92.0 did have within 3fps downrange numbers as 91.5.

I would say she has some speeding up as well. With Alex’s reamer in my 26”, 88.5 was 3000 FPS with 245’s.

Looks like a node trying to come out at 3100 fps. Wonder if it can hit the next node when the barrel speeds up... Which primer are you using? I have some Remington 9.5M if you ever want to try something different besides CCI and Fed

With 220s, I hit the second node up around 3175 fps. The 245 might be the same if they hold up to the Bullet Shredder spinning them that hard

Wasn’t able to make it out to hawks ridge yesterday. They had a shooting class and range was closed so there goes my 1 day every 2 weeks.. Glad I called the evening before making that long trip! Lol
I did look at my pressure test a little more and felt like the barrel wasn't happy with something so I decided to split the difference of the node and load at 89.5 N570 with 4 different primers (250’s, 215M’s, 210M’s & BR2’s). Bullet was 230 OTM’s seated 20K off. I added a 5th group that was the same as the 250 primer load but seated 5K off to see what’s preferred.
All groups were at 294yds on my hunting lease. From the quick test, I would say it prefers the 215M’s. It also seemed to shoot smaller with the 5K off seating. Most guys are having better luck with 250’s but you just never know until you test.. The 215M’s seem to be pushing velocities up a little higher so I will probably drop down to around 88.0 and run up to 90.5, 5K off, 3 shot groups at distance next time I have a chance.

What every one needs to understand is that barrels can have a huge impact on pressure. Ba barrel dimensions can be worth 100 fps more speed before pressure. There are no set rules across the board here. I have spec'd different dimensions and Im telling you that you would be amazed at the difference. Listen to your barrel

I always found great accuracy with 215M. It’s the ladder testing where the 250 worked better for me. My groups with the 215M are actually smaller than groups with the 250. But the POI with the 250 is much more consistent with my rifle in a ladder test so that’s why I use them.

Great test. I wouldnt give up on the 210 or 250, they may tune up with a powder tweak. If you plan to hunt cold weather I would be looking at the 250 and 215. Have not tried remington primers yet but plan to. Great input, thanks.
