TUPPERWARE STOCK

I have a Rem 700 ADL varmint wt. rifle I bought 2 years ago. I had the action out of the stock for about 10 months. Today I tried to drop the action and barrel into the stock. There are 4 contact points on the round tubular part of the action, front back and sides. The seems to be a high point on the side. A straight edge does not seem to locate a high point. I can rock the action up and down on this high location? Can a tupperware stock warp with time? What's going on? Can someone recommend a quality drop in stock. Do custon stocks have extra clearance for a Jewell trigger?

Bell & Carson stocks accept jewel triggers with no mods. At least my short actions fit perfectly in the M-40s.

I’ve never had a problem with Manners, HS Precision or B&C. Stockys I had to do a little modding but nothing difficult at all. The Tupperware stocks are in my opinion for killing bugs. Should be ashamed to sell them .

Try a "dry" assembly with the magazine well and follower out to make sure they are not contributing or in the wrong position.

I never cared for the factory Rem plastic stocks, but there are too many alternatives to mention. See if the problem is really the stock itself or the other details possibly not going back into their specific place.

I have a 700 5R that came in a very nice HS Precision stock w an aluminum bedding block (we still skim bedded it which was well worth it).

Take a look. Very nice and not totally high end for cost.

Oh, we put a Jewel in it w out having to do any modification.
