Drummers Throne for Bench Seat?

Been needing a decent shooters seat and this past match had me
looking at a few being used. My brother in law is a drummer, So I
stopped by to see what he had laying around and maybe sell off.
Drummers don't sell there seats, I quickly found out.....LOL

He jumped on the computer and punched up Sweetwater .com.
it's a sound company for the musicians. He's a "Pearl' kit user
so searched that brand and brought up one of his seats. Luck
had it that the seat listed for about $150 was on sale for half off
and free shipping. With just a small sales tax fee, it will be at my
door for just $ 80 bucks......I'll post up a pic when it shows. For
now though, it's a folder with a 12 inch seat. I did check the local
music store here in Erie, and that same style seat was pushing
$175 retail. There used prices were more than what I'm getting new !!

Many thanks Fuj. I have been needing one, hour + from A pawn shop, more time to get to the big city to drive from one to another.
So, for 74$ and change, shipped w IN sales tax, I was GLAD to read your post. They even had another 3 bux off. S C O O O O R R R E. Thanks again. :)

I‘ve been using this Gibralta for about a year now. Zero complaints and it does everything I want it to do.

I like the one that used to be sold by Sinclair Intl. Its a 5 leg stool for stability, soft seat and pneumatic adjust for height. It's the cat's behind!! Check Brownells.

This is the one I use. Can confirm that it is indeed the cats behind.

Brother, you are talking my language.

Local club has old wooden benches with fixed into the ground wooden seats that....well, are mostly useless.

Even if the fixed seats were in the right place and the right height, I still can't think of any reason that I would want to shoot from a cut out on the side of the bench and not from the back of the bench with recoil coming straight back into my body.

So, I too bought from Sweetwater (who did a GREAT job) and purchased a Roc N Soc hydraulic drummer's throne and it works perfectly. Extremely sturdy and strong, comfortable, and the height adjustment gets me where I want to be on different benches/clubs. Now, its almost $200 and it sounds like you got a GREAT deal on the Pearl. Great deal.

So, I paid more but to me this throne was well worth the money and will last forever.

I use the Roc-N-Soc and really like it now that I changed the seat part. I sold the top that came with it, it looks like a motorcycle or tractor seat. When I would sit down, it was never in the right position. I went with the round seat. This should last many years. Very well made.

Well the Pearl seat came in and this is as I see it......
Is it worth the 1/2 off and free shipping price ?? Hell
Yeah. For full price I would have thought of looking
around more. It's made in China and is fairly decent
in quality. No cushion in the seat, and is fairly hard.
That's no problem though. It's a simple push/pull
height adjustment with locking collars. It has a typical
hand key for locking it in place. Seat comes off using
the same key system. Nice and compact when taken
down......I would have preferred a screw type height
adjustment, and may add one in the future. It would
seem a simple do. Either way, I'm good to go, and have
no regrets on this purchase. I'm going to use it in the
loading room today

I've got the same throne but from the Bolt brand. Think I gave around $150 for it, and it's worth every penny!

I use this same one for Prairie Dog hunting.
Very comfortable for a day of shooting....

I second that, bought one a year ago. Buddy came over and loved it so ordered him one last week.

I use the mechanics roll around stool that I had. Took the rollers off and put closet hanging dowels on it for legs. Hydraulic up and down. Drummers throne is the best, though.
