Couch Potato

I love football. Like so many of you, I was incensed by the players introducing politics into the mix. I also stopped watching the games for a long time. When I realized that the TV stations were no longer showing the pre-game antics of the players, I started watching again.

Now that there are non of these antics being broadcast, I don't care what these fools do. Football is entertainment to those who watch the games. Take away the venue for display, and the demonstrators have no reason to continue. As far as I am concerned if you didn't see it, it didn't happen.

I'm also a lifelong Packer fan going back to Lombardi and Starr. No more. And games with piped in crowd noise? Are you kidding me?

Same with NASCAR, but they've been losing me for years, long before the social justice BS. And while that issue might have some merit, the fact that it has been completely hijacked by folks that are literally marxists removes any validity it might have had.

Living up here in Erie Pa. about 3 mile miles from the shoreline of
Lake Erie, We are blessed with 3 AFC teams close by. Cleveland
just to the west, Buffalo, just to the East, and Pittsburgh to the south.
I missed my Bills game, being at a rifle match. Did wear my Bills hat
though. Brought me luck.....They won. So yesterday and still getting
the chill out of my bones from the match, I planted my ass on the
couch and watch the games all day. Something about throwing a
blanket over ya', kicking back, and unplugging the phone !! Having a
few Erie brewed "Rail Benders", a pile of Cajun Wings, and a few
snoozes in between.......Well it is what it is. For you Steelers fans,
you must be in shock. Cleveland does you in, 2 games in a row,
and has yinz cleaning out your lockers.......Next week I may just
repeat this couch potato process......What say you ??
No NFL for me
No knee bending professional sports for me. They’re actively trying to dismantle our republic.
Ditto

The owners care nothing of the fans as long as they're getting money from TV advertising. Pro sports have been going down for awhile and one of the few things that's keeping them from going further down the tubes is legalized online sports betting.

No NFL for years, and this kneeling crap just reinforces that. Baseball up until about 8 years ago. No hockey. Absolutely NO NBA. EVER. No news. My TV plays NCIS ad nauseum (wife's favorite) and nature shows. That's it, and I don't watch it at all (OK, maybe some of the nature). No facebook, twitter, tik-tok, nothing, nada.

Way much more time to tinker with a rifle and/or load ammo and/or shoot more. Even managing to stand in front of the lathe and crank out a few bowls..........

Strange times we live in. Take a "game" and have it evolve from a way for players/spectators to enjoy some community and a hotdog or 3......

And completely ruin the whole premise down to running ads on their jerseys. If that's not getting enough attention, create political tension. These types of sports lost me 15 years ago with the dang commercials..... run one play,go to commercial. Come back...run one play, end of quarter, run a longer string of commercials. And so it goes.

Nascar has to rank up there with the best for the complete bastardization of an original idea.

Trying to watch hotrod "stuff" on the TV.......about 15 minutes is all I can stand before just going in the shop and fabbing on my own chit.

Well Fellas, I know how some of you feel. Yeah the
kneeling thing, and the media bullshit had me almost
putting a slug in the set. That all aside, they can do what
they want. I'm there for the love of the game. Now for those
inclined......The Bills are playing Kansas City, and I'm not
going to miss it. Since I had wings this passed week, and
it's a Kansas game, I thought it would be fitting to get two
slabs of ribs. One with a dry rub, and the other mopped.

Never cared for it, their actions these past years just cemented the deal.... Getting paid Millions to play with a ball hardly seems Discriminatory...
I'll watch Bull riding or Fishing/Hunting instead...

NFL NBA never again, life time boycott .
Hockey that's another story, RED WINGS!
Steve Bair

I take a knee when it come to football and now due to Coach Cal I may be taking a knee to my beloved Kentucky Wildcats! If you've never gone to BLM website you should just to educate yourself, will surprise you when they talk about queers (their words not mine, and how every shooting is a murder even if the police are defending themselves).

Do they even allow the Red White and Blue flag to be flown at those games these days? I wouldn't know. I'm an American and refuse to support those bastages.

I say get out on Lake Erie and ice some of the Hawg Walleyes living under the ice. Assuming they have ice on the lake. We have it here and if I can't get out to my LR targets from the snow conditions, the lakes usually have open windswept conditions allowing easier access to the ice. Being PA, I'm not sure what temps and winter conditions are like for ice fishing.

I sat in the stands of Cleveland Municipal Stadium as a 14 year old , and watched the Browns absolutely throttle the highly favored Baltimore Colts , 27 - 0 . Their last NFL title , of four . To go along with the four AAC Football Championships . As the commercial says ; If you're born in northern Ohio , "You're born a Browns fan" ! That also applies to The Ohio State University teams as well . One of the most conservative Universities in the nation . I was also at the first game of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the old Hockey Arena of Euclid Ave. in "71"...I will go to Browns games if given the chance , and one more Buckeyes game in Columbus is on my "Bucket List" , but the rest of those over-paid millionaire Racists can kiss my @$$ !
