removing ring marks on a scope ?

I had a scope with ring marks on it and I tried some Nu Finish scratch remover on it and it removed the ring marks.
Just wanted you guys to know it worked

Guess it depends on whether the ring marks are finish transferred from the rings or scratches in the tube of the scope. Great idea if the marks are actually from the rings.
