My anniversary is today, 29 years and we ain't killed each other...yet...lol We took 4 wheelers to the top of the mountain to see it.
It had been around 25 years since we had been up there together. This time we had our 3 kids and the granddaughter. Kinda special for a couple reasons. Glad we went.

Kyler turns 16 tomorrow, wife and I have been married 18 years and have been blessed with a wonderful family, 2 boys, and a good life. We don't have all we want and don't need it. Yesterday I was watching both boys shooting their bows and thought time has flown, they are grown. Wife told me years ago the older I get the weaker and the older they get the stronger. How they know what they know and are able to do the things they do, they must of paid attention to something I was trying to show them along the way. I pray I done it right.

Any how... this year isn't the same, Christmas is odd, Thanksgiving was odd... Tonight standing outside looking up, all I could think about was how lucky I am to have this moment in time. I have all I need, kinda of special to me also for alot of reason. The most is Christmas day, it made me think about what it really means. Today I remembered what life was all about.

Saw it thru my 60x spotting scope last night, was windy at times and the scope was wobbling pretty good at times but in those calm moments it was awesome. thinking about getting some better glass to see things a bit clearer for these old eyes. LOL

I showed it to my wife on 12/20 through a spotting scope. She got a chance to see the rings of Saturn and bands on Jupiter and 3 of the Galilean moons. 12/21 was predicted to be cloudy and it was. If the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn was the Christmas Star of old is debatable. There was a conjunction around 3BC that was only a few arc minutes apart and was not resolvable by the human eye. Who knows for sure. The star could have been a natural phenomenon or a Divine one.

The wife and me looked through our Kowa scope with the 60x zoom last night. I was really surprised to be able to see the rings of Saturn and the moons of Neptune. It was quite a sight. Like someone already said: Happy Birthday Jesus.
