Yep just wait til you get arrested for the first time when you are 58 years old, for not taking your 13 (96 human) year old dog to the vet to have a surgery that you know he would never make it through; the state seize your dog, has a vet perform the surgery and the dog dies on the table. Then you will have a different feel about animal right’s activist.

Thing is, they could have never forced you to have that surgery for yourself at age 96.

Wow! Unless it was a relatively minor procedure that didn’t require anesthesia, I’m surprised any vet would agree to performing it!

Nope. Exploratory surgery on a 13 year old dog to see why stomach was bloated. Yard dog. Had eaten plastic. Knew it was some sort of blockage but dog was eating and happy. Knew it would not make it through a surgery so, as long as it was eating and happy, decided not to do anything due to age of dog.

Local animal control officer and humane society leader saw things differently. Went on to fenced-in, posted land; seized the dog without a warrant and had the vet try surgery. Arrested the guy after they killed the dog with their surgery attempt and charged him with animal cruelty. Humane society lady insisted that he be charged with a felony. Guy was a retired utility board manager and had never been in trouble or arrested.

I like your post but I don’t like what they did. I suspect it’s just another agenda ultimately driven by greed rather than by any love for animals.

Haven't seen it in a while but what about the people that scratch them off as they receive them? Hell NO!

Though a word nazi may do well in academic pursuits they generally lack spirit and soul, and will most likely end up in hell or at least in bad marriages.

I am really tire of people who consider pets superior to people. Now we have commercials encouraging women to ignore their family because their pets are so much better. It's all about the money. People who sell pet food, pet products, veterinary supplies, pet insurance, etc push this paradigm and they are getting rich.

Are people more gullible than ever or is this an unintended consequence of the internet--allowing subtle influence of peoples opinions without them knowing it.

and to add just a little bit more to that!.....I own several cattle dogs and there very important to me!.....However when I go to home depot or other stores I LEAVE THEM IN THE PICKUP!.....
I hate stepping in Dog S*** in Isle 5 at Home depot!....or have a dog bark or snap at me in the store!.....Rant almost over!......... Leave your unruly non minding pets HOME!...Rant over!

Pet Peeve.............
AR's at the range without a brass catcher. I carry one with me and have more than once showed the shooter the new-fangled gadget that will enable him to not have to chase down his brass that has been rolling all over the place and under my feet...........I thought that little rant would make me feel a little better..............NOPE....

I just drape a small hand towel over the top of the scope. Brass just hits the towel & drops down into the MTM box top. Of course this only works at the range. In the field it's gone, don't even bother looking.
