The receiver does not care whether the OD of the buffer tube is comm or mil-spec in diameter as the receiver internal threading is the same. What does matter is the buffer weight, length and the spring/spring rate as the AR308 carbine is a different dog.Your receiver should specify whether it’s “commercial” or “mil-spec”. If it says commercial, then no. I believe the two specs have different OD buffer tubes. You can probably find more by Googling “commercial vs. mil-spec”. Call or email PSA if you don’t know your receiver’s specs.
Are you cloning the PA-10 exactly or using some other type of collapsible stock? Also can’t always assume that these ”kit assembles” include the correct parts for your application. I built a 16 inch AR308 carbine on a UBR stock and I used a 8.5 oz buffer and 308 rifle spring, its runs like a sewing machine. Check out heavybuffers.com, it can save you some headache.
Here is one source stating the different diameters on both ends of the mil-spec and commercial tubes:The receiver does not care whether the OD of the buffer tube is comm or mil-spec in diameter as the receiver internal threading is the same. What does matter is the buffer weight, length and the spring/spring rate as the AR308 carbine is a different dog
