Any reason to not use Burris XTR Signature 34mm rings?

Pre ordered a Tract Toric 4.5-30 scope, so I have time to make a decision... This will be on a Savage 12 Target, 6mm Norma Dashed bench gun. I have a couple sets on other guns, and like that I can set moa + or - without a special rail, and zero scope without using up windage or elevation. Plus no ring marks if I switch to another rifle. I don't know if I'd gain anything by going to another brand ring? Going to use a 0 moa pic rail...thanks for any advice or experiences... rsbhunter

I use those rings on my Ruger Magnum Precision Rifle in .338 Lapua with no issues other than the tedious time spent torquing down 6 screws on each cap - way overkill in my opinion. I'm a fan of the Signature rings, and have used them for over 2 decades with no issues. I just wish that the standard rings were available in 34 mm as I prefer them to the XTR rings.

A Tract Toxic? I love the name; most fitting. I have several sets of Burris XTR in 34mm. They are great rings. For instance, I have a set on my FTR match rifle, which I use to get my non-toxic March-X 10-60X56 to be near 0 in adjustment for 1000 yards to obtain superb IQ.

They are good solid rings. Hard to level a scope with the inserts tho.

For two piece rings I prefer Seekins. I lapp and bed them with JB weld

Actually, it's auto correct. I disable that on all my devices. This way, all my typos are mine. Autocorrect is a devilish communist plot to affect our precious bodily fluids. Or something. Spell check is great, but it's a different feature.
