Well, another kudos for ODCR Zack Donovant (WSMNUT) here. He just finished another very cool project for a life long friend of mine. It's a 260 AI Remington 700 SA of course trued action, Brux 24 inch 1 - 8 Tw. w/fluted bolt and oversized knob. We blew out some Hornady 260 brass yesterday with 123 Hornady ELD-M bullets which normally require alittle more effort than Nosler or Berger to work up a decent load with. But, not with this rifle. With a good stiff load of RL-19 and a CCI 250 M primer seated at .010 off the lands it shot 7 - 5 shot groups all within 1/2 MOA and one was actually an honest .300 So, another positive and well earned check mark of Zack's side of the page. Thank you Bro for another fantastic job well done, high quality piece and as always within the very reasonable time frame and price that cannot be beat.

Is that the bullet he will be shooting? Or will he load the loong ones?

I’ve had the same experience as you, Bill. Just fire forming cases so we picked out a junk bullet, a known safe book load and I’m pretty sure the powder was a mix of 4064 and mouse turds.. not joking.. everything was under 1/2 moa. Worked up a load once fire formed and she aggs in the low 0.4’s at 200 yards. I swear that guy could chamber a fence post and make it shoot

Danged if he ain't good at what he does no doubt. I realize he does not make the barrels but his chambers and crowns and action work is bad to the bone.

Yea, that one jumped up a fraction or so but honestly I believe that was just part of my poor technique at the bench.
Based on that group, I think you and the rifle are doing just fine!
Years ago, I used to smile if I shot inside an inch. These days, I cringe when one lands “outside” a potentially great group!

Yes Sir, I've always liked tiny groups and I totally agree on the cringe part when one gets a little out.

Bill that's a nice looking shooter for sure.
You going to continue shooting the 123's?
Nope. He is loading the 130 gr. Nosler AB and the 120 gr. Nosler BT to hunt with. Both of those were shooting very close to the same POI yesterday and grouping nicely as well.

I'm glad to hear Zack is getting excellent reviews. He's building a 6BR for me and it should be done soon. Patiently waiting.
He has already built me a 6mmBR along with a .308, 243AI, & 30BR. All of which have NOT disappointed me in the least. All have shot exceptionally well with great quality and workmanship second to none. Prices are as good as anyone will find anywhere.
