We put together our own winter practice league between Ct, Vermont and Maine. Have a match once a month. Record scores on our own, but typically shoot our targets as a group
Tonight, watching election results. Tomorrow night, turning case necks. This weekend re-testing a barrel that showed incredible accuracy potential this spring but always seemed to throw a shot out of 10 shot groups at 1K. I’m thinking I may have found the issue. I shot groups like this several times so we shall see!
Build or rebuild equipment, test, retest, then test again.
Or some may choose to HIBERNATE.
Me I shoot all year, hot, cold, rain, snow, it doesn't matter, all though you would never know.
Keep on shooting until the its gets really cold. Handload, work on improvement projects, last year unload a number of rounds. For my hunting rifles have limited my loaded ammo to 50 per rifle. Search the interweb for more make work projects and enjoy the season. And do some coyote hunting. Currently grouse, deer, and pheasant hunting is in full swing until January.
Hunt and build hunting rifles. Getting ready to start a 338 Ultra Mag. That is about the only hole in my collection from 220 Beggs to the 458 Lott. Can't have enough.
I don't know what they do but I shoot all year ago. The range is almost deserted in the winter and it nice to have it myself. However when the temp drops below 40 I usually don't shoot because of arthritis in my hands.
