That's a pretty big difference I would say. I would lean to the Bergara with the 1:9 twist if you are using the rifle mainly for yotes. You will find the ability to stabilize 70 grain bullets that buck the wind a lot better than the 50 grainers you shoot with the slower twist. Difference between 52 grain hornady ELDM and their 60 (60.3) grain soft point is over close to 10 inches inches deviation on 500 yard impact with a 10MPH crosswind. 1:9 twist you could shoot 70 grain and get even less wind diviation and more knockdown power at the same time.The only major difference I see is that the Bergara has a 1:9 twist, the Savage is 1:12.
If you are just shooting gophers when the best conditions present themselves nothing wrong with a lighter weight and slower twist barrel, the savage would suit you well too if that is the scenario. That's my opinion.
