Yes, powder density and shape are two different aspects of a powder. Ball powders due to the nature of their shape will always take less volume per grain than extruded powders. So a max load of 25 gns of CFE-223 may only take up 2/3's the case space as the same weight of Varget. Which is why I switched from Varget to CFE-223 when loading 80gn A-Max's in my 223.I may be mistaken, but does it not make sense that an identical weight on say a powder like CFE-223 will take up less volume than Varget or similar?
