I believe they are separated so that in the not too distant future, men will be still be included in the records.

Except there is not a Mens record. There is only a civilian or open of which Women can set either of those, along with the Womens.

^2 That’s true. If we called it a men’s record though, that could hurt our fragile egos. The ladies sure can patiently and carefully shoot. What will be interesting is whether an election of category(s) will be required when say a senior woman civilian gets the regular record.
