Who ,makes a good off road tire?

Through the tread

If you haven’t already, read the post from Off The Right Edge above. Knowing the driving conditions, such as type of rocks and if the flat is caused by stone drilling or cuts/slices is key information. Are the tires fairly new or nearing replacement? Why are they not repairable? What does your local tire dealer say?

They broke ,un repairable . tires are about 60% or better. Tire store told me these are as tough as they get. Lots of Sharpe rocks and gravel for sure. Don't really want something extraterrestrial as I need to get some milage and travel the highway

I’ve really liked the Copper SST pro’s. There pretty darn quiet for how aggressive they are. They do good in mud and have been great on the rocks. E0785344-29FF-403F-BB06-638F26B7E5C6.jpeg

I only run big rocks a little when hunting in the Rockies, but in all other regards the only tire I've thought enough of to purchase a third time is Falken. Moderate price, high mileage, and good off roading for my limited needs.

I'm running Pirelli Scorpion MTR's on my TJ, it get's a steady diet of rough northern AZ forest roads, mud and snow, have about 30K on them, great tire, a little noisy on the highway, they do make a milder tread pattern for "all terrain" use

I’ve been doing lots of research for tires for my truck. My son races off road truck, and has had good luck with the Kenda’s. So that’s what I’m going to try next. Their new A/T2 is what I’m going with.

Run a F250 SD 4X4 in Az. Nothing but rock here. Nittos have too high a failure rate. So far happy with the General Grabber X3's.

I also don't run my truck like I'm trying to kill it either.

I drive a Ram 3500 Diesel Dually 4 wheel drive welding rig, 13,400 lbs with welder and equipment. At 497,000 miles on the rig I have tried just about every tire possible. With 50% highway and 50% off-road. I have found the Hercules T/G Max an extremely durable tire. Really stiff sidewalls and chip and cut resistant tread. Although they are a little noisy on pavement and the ride is a bit rougher than other tires. But I look for durability having to purchase 6 at a time.

Missed the turn north out of Abilene last trip. Went thru Baird then north on 283. Very nice drive! Bet the snakes are big as the deer and the hogs. I'll wave next time!

Rattlers get plenty big enough here to season up and put on the smoker. And the hogs, ....put it this way every one you kill is replaced by two.
