H4350 Powder

I saw an 8 pounder at a local hardware store that also sells guns and reloading supplies. I got excited! Before I said “I’ll take it”, I asked “How much?”
The guy behind the counter says “$320” with a smile! I passed!
I have one in the shop I paid $230 for from Powder Valley.

1 lb. for $35.50 taxes included they had Alliance RL 17 and IMR 4350 I think they had Varget all about the same price. The last H4350 I bought was $37.00 before taxes.

That would likely be my last trip to that store.

I would have said," You got to be $hitting me! Nothing like price gouging I guess."

Sailors have a saying, "When your ship ends up in a hurricane any port will do".

Just curious, that 8 pound jug cost $90 more. How much do you think that raises the price of reloading a single 6.5x47 containing 40 grains of H4350?

It’s 6.5 cents EXTRA per shot, with a 40 grain load.
If I was DESPERATE!? AND out, I might buy it. I’m not. I have a little less than 12 pounds here. I’m thinking of the future. That thought also includes buying smart and not squandering my hard earned assets! Thinking “it’s only 6 cents extra a round” makes ya feel better. It’s $90 foolishly wasted!!

Josh,
It doesn't cost anything to ask, you might have been pleasantly surprised.
I stumbled on some CCI 450 primer at our local redneck paradise, AKA Sportsman's Warehouse, priced at $3.79/100. Figuring that I could live with that price I asked the cashier if the still offered 10% off if you purchase a box of 1000. Answer was no so I said I would take one of the two available sleeves. She rang it up, with tax the total came to $28.79. Needless to say, I bought the other sleeve. Pleasant surprise!
